Felled By the Flu

Apologies to all who are checking this space, but posting has been slow for the last few days, and will be slow for at least a couple more.  Whether it’s the flu formerly known as swine or something even less glamorous, a virus of some kind is sweeping through Mead Global HQ.  I will spare you the details, but the worst seems to be over.  We have plans underway to upgrade the blog and over the next couple of weeks will roll out some improvements; meanwhile, the quest to name the blog continues.  Mead Matters?  Via Meadia?  Any other suggestions?

Sorry to hear you haven’t been feeling well, and hope you get on the mend soon. Though in fairness, that’s what you get for teaching dirty college kids.

Adding one to the “bad puns” category – “A Happy Meadium?”

Though I don’t think the need for a name is an urgent one. Most blogs are referred to by their authors anyhow, rather than by their formal titles (I’m thinking ‘Andrew Sullivan’ over ‘The Daily Dish’, Megan McArdle over ‘Asymmetrical Information’, Matt Yglesias over… whatever he calls his blog). If this were going to be a space for multiple bloggers, like NRO’s ‘Corner’, I’d be more concerned about finding a name. But since you’re going to be the only author (and presumably won’t be blogging much elsewhere?), I’d feel free to hold off on choosing a name until one really speaks to you, recognizing that people may not pay that much attention to it anyhow.
