However, your analysis and insights are in high demand in the Horn of Africa conflict specially the Ethiopian invasion of Somalia, which human rights organizations and the United Nations called the worst humanitarian crisis in the world (worse than Darfur). In part this crisis is created by US Counter Terrorism policy in the Horn of Africa region, in other words prior to the full blown conflict, Somalia had become un officially another front on the war on terror. Ethiopian autocratic Prime Minister Melle Zenawi exploited the US Counter Terrorism Policy to create a conditions for US alliance by inflating the threat of terrorism in Somalia, as well as pursuing policies to radicalize the Somali population particularly the middle class by dominating the Somali Reconciliation conference held in Kenya in 2003 that led the creation of Transitional Federal Government (TFG)which is de facto alliance of warlords, criminals, and corrupted and self appointed clan leaders, that deserve to be indicted and tried as war criminals in International Criminal court instead of governing. US provided financial, training, technical, and diplomatic assistance to the Ethiopian government. With the influence of US, UN Security Council reversed the arms embargo and adopted 1725 in order to allow the deployment of African Union peacekeeping forces which so far has 1500 from Uganda.
